High-quality and successful Geography resources. I have been teaching for 12 years and have an MA in Teaching. I am now leaving the profession so feel it necessary to share some of the best resources I have created over the years. These have all been put on initially at a very cheap price as I wanted to make as available as possible to the educational community without being taken advantage of. Please enjoy to create better geography experiences for students everywhere.

KS3 Geography and Sport

(1)
A fun unit of work designed around two of my passions! Students really enjoyed this topic (particularly boys and sporty girls - both of whom can be hard to engage). Suitable for Geography and PE studies. Ideal as a resource for cover lessons too as most tasks can be done independently. Our school uses ‘Challenge’, ‘Big Challenge’, and ‘Super Challenge’ to identify different levels of challenge and these are represented as : C, BC and SC in the booklet. Downloading the ‘Geography lessons and tasks overview’ spreadsheet will enable you to change the overview images should you require to do so. As a department, we moved to directly completing work in booklets which I created as Head of Department instead of Exercise books. This approach was partly as a result of student voice as well as a change in departmental direction. We found the booklet approach to be highly beneficial for a wide range of reasons, for example; student outcomes, ease of marking, engagement in tasks from the beginning of the lesson, easily setting starting points, AfL etc and they have been well-received by students and acknowledged as excellent practice by SLT and during an Ofsted inspection in 2018. The creation of each booklet took me a lot of time, as did the overview spreadsheet and both can be easily changed to meet the needs of your school / department. All other booklets I have created have a similar structure and wide range of tasks and very reasonably priced. The GCSE ones and some tasks in the KS3 booklets go well with the Pocket Posters Revision Guides and we bought every student one of these to enable them to develop independent learning habits. They are very cheap and found at: https://www.daydreameducation.co.uk/products/revision-guides-pocket-posters?subject=42

6 Resources
6 packs of lessons covering a range of topics. Easy to use for stand-alone lessons or as a topic / series of lessons as originally designed. Develops and encourages independence and very easy to mark. Supports teaching on these topics as a means for students to develop their learning. Also ideal for setting as cover work or for a non-geography specialist to work through or as extension work for more able students. Any Atlas would support content in these booklets so no need for accompanying textbooks. A very small number of tasks refer to Pocket Posters Geography books (£3.00 per book) but these can easily be edited out / reference resources created if do not have copies of this book in school.
